Partners in Preservation | Vote for the High Line

Photos: William Yan

The High Line is another one of forty historic sites in NYC that are competing for $3 million in grants by Partners in Preservation. I recently voted and decided to pass by and show you guys why it's worth voting for. I started at the tail end of the High Line at 30th Street where it currently ends though the tracks are extended but sealed off to the public. I made my way down the walkway to meet up with some friends who were out and about taking photos.

This is pretty much where the High Line ends and is currently sealed off, make sure you vote for them so they can get the grant to further restore and extend the High Line. You can vote for them or another historic location daily through May 21, 2012 at:

Partners in Preservation | Vote for the Guggenheim

Photos: William Yan

I'm a Blogger Ambassador for Partners in Preservation, a program in which American Express, in partnership with the National Trust for Historic Preservation, awards preservation grants to historic places across the country.

I paid a visit and a vote to the Guggenheim Museum the other day (there are other locations, 40 in total in which you guys should vote daily on at Partners in Preservation site, see the full list here).

At the Guggenheim, they were showing the John Chamberlin: Choices exhibit as well as Francesca Woodman photographs. It was too bad photographs weren't allowed inside the exhibits because it was epic, American sculpture John Chamberlin had a bunch of crushed automobile parts that came together in amazing silhouettes and color combinations that got better and better as you made your way to the top of the Guggenheim.

My eyes were all wide open when I got to the Francesca Woodman exhibit, her stunning black & white images sucks you into the photos, the perspectives and slow shutter speed captures are alluring. You have to go check it out, it's inspiring.

Spotted Chloe outside the Guggenheim, fell in love with her color palette and look.

Interior shot of the Guggenheim, the only photo I took before entering the exhibit area.

The Guggenheim is one of 40 historic sites all competing for the $3 million in grants, so make sure you vote for them or another historic location daily through May 21, 2012 at PartnersinPreservation.com or Facebook.com/PartnersinPreservation.

NEW ERA | Rayuana Aleyce Styled by William Yan

Photos courtesy of New Era

The other day I got to preview the New Era Fall/Winter collection and ended up styling a full look on the gorgeous model Rayuana. It was my first time doing something like that, I normally leave the styling to the stylist - I didn't pull any clothes, there were a ton of pre-pulled ones along with heels for days that were available for me to edit down to get this final look I wanted for a girl in a fitted.

*Side Notes:

  • Thanks New Era for letting me style a look
  • Thanks Rayuana for rocking this look
  • Thanks Jose for always having a lollipop on deck
